Ministers of State for Sports, Tourism, and National Guidance flagged off the 3rd edition of the Mt. Rwenzori Marathon in Kasese District. Participants from over 32 countries competed in the 5 km, 10 km, 21 km, and 42 km races.
The ministers themselves participated in the 5 km and 10 km races, expressing optimism that Kasese's growth is attracting significant international attention through such events, which also contribute to the district's revenue base. Over 3,000 participants attended the marathon.
