This one was an absolute blast from start to finish. My first time working with a DH-17 replica from The Blaster Factory, and right away I knew I wanted to do something different with that single-point scope.

The biggest challenge? Wiring. I replaced the stock polycarbonate light rod in the scope with an LED filament, then ran wiring through flexible aluminum tubing into the main body where the chassis is housed. It keeps the aesthetic intact while adding a much more refined lighting effect.
The trigger is wired to a custom brass hat switch holder mounted just behind it. I wasn’t able to utilize the stock toggle switch internally, so I integrated a subtle brass tactile switch as the aux control instead. Clean, functional, and visually cohesive.
The removable chassis is my own design, featuring an enclosed speaker system that locks into place using the blaster’s rear attachment—secure, serviceable, and easy to access when needed.
And yes… I really wanted a NeoPixel muzzle flash on this build. The issue? The factory barrel is a single solid piece of aluminum. So I sent it off to my dude Jeremy, who went above and beyond- as always and to absolutely no ones surprise whatsoever- and machined a one-to-one replacement with a fully bored-out barrel, allowing proper wire routing and a clean NeoPixel install.
The result is a DH-17 that looks screen-accurate but delivers modern FX performance.
