Carol Connors who co-wrote “Gonna Fly Now” called by AFI one of the most important movie songs of all time, among other Iconic hit songs. She has written a book called “ELVIS, ROCKY AND ME…The Carol Connors Story, Co-written by Steven Bergsman, For the first time ever, Connors talks openly about her time with Elvis, and other famous men in Hollywood she loved and had relationships with. This tell all book chronicles her many true adventures as a celebrity, lover, singer, Scuba Diver aka Mermaid, and songwriter, the stories that have never been told until now! The books is now in audio form and is narrated by TV legend, actress Kathy Garver who played "Cissy Davis" on the beloved TV series, "Family Affair." The audio book received a Grammy nomination. There's also a documentary on her life now too.

Connors details in the book about her relationship with Elvis which lasted for almost a year, and months into that relationship Elvis became her first lover and the first man she would fall in love with.

Connors wrote a song about Elvis that commemorated their relationship, called “YOU LOVED MY NIGHT AWAY” which was written on the night Elvis died, Connors sat at her piano for 12 hours straight penning this very special song to her first love Elvis Presley. Elvis wanted to meet carol when “To Know Him is To Love Him “was the most popular song in the world, he wanted to meet the girl with that voice, who sings that song, and meet they did!

The book is filled with great showbiz stories about her life, loves, and career including singing on her first hit record “TO KNOW HIM IS TO LOVE HIM” from the genius of Rock n Roll, the infamous Phil Spector who wrote the song for Carol’s voice. Connors was and will always be the voice of The Teddy Bears. Connors feels Phil Spector tried to block her music career from taking off after the song hit #1 on the billboard charts, and she still believes he is trying to block her from the grave today!

Of all the songs she’s written, one of Carol's favorites is, "WITH YOU I'M BORN AGAIN” (Gold & Silver Record/BMI Citation Of Achievement For Over Two Million Air Play) co-written with David Shire. In it are her favorite lyrics, 'Come bring me softness, comfort me through all the madness..."

Carol's film and TV work has been legendary and includes music and lyrics of such varied films as: THE EARTHLING, LOOKING FOR MR. GOODBAR, DRESSED TO KILL, THE ONION FIELD, BUTTERFLY (1981 Golden Globe Nomination) ORCA and Walt Disney's THE RESCUERS (Academy Award Nomination), to name a few. She's co-penned the theme for Robin Leach’s LIFE STYLES OF THE RICH AND FAMOUS, "CHAMPAGNE WISHES AND CAVIAR DREAMS" sung by Dionne Warwick and for STAR SEARCH, "YOU CAN BE A STAR". Carol has received five Emmy nominations; one of them was for "LOVE WITHOUT STRINGS" (“Bob Hope Presents: Morris the Cat Salutes America's Pets"). Over the years her special songs have accented many of the major television series. Harlan Coben’s Shelter for Prime, and Duster from J.J. Abrams for HBOMax.
