A more recent trend in Yakuza's narrative has been the cause for concern for many fans of the series, myself included. Today, we'll be going over the prospect of narrative retcons that result in the revival of various characters to see why it's such a risky choice, and how the dangers associated with it can be circumvented.

While this discussion has been present in the community for a while, the newest trailer for Yakuza 0: Director's Cut for the Nintendo Switch 2 seemed to be the spark that truly lit the fuse, so here we are.
