The Good Life is a BBC television sitcom set in the United Kingdom. It was written by Bob Larbey and John Esmonde and broadcast on BBC 1 from 4 April 1975 to 10 June 1978.

It begins with Tom Good's midlife crisis as a 40-year-old plastics designer, and follows him and his wife Barbara as they strive to escape the current "rat race" lifestyle by "becoming entirely self-sufficient" in their suburban Surbiton home. It was ranked 9th in Britain's Best Sitcom in 2004.
