Welcome back to another beautiful and joy-filled vlog with Bilal, Shaeeda, and baby Ayaan! In today’s video, we’re taking you along for a fun Saturday outing as our little family explores one of our favorite spots in Kansas City — Zona Rosa!

It was one of those perfect summer days — yes, the sun was blazing hot, but that didn’t stop us from making amazing memories together. We decided to keep things light, casual, and full of laughs! 😄☀️

We started off the day with a spontaneous drive through the city, and let’s just say — Bilal was in a very playful mood! He surprised me by attempting to speak Trini (Trinidadian dialect)! 🤣 You know I had to rate his attempt, right? From “Wha yuh sayin’?” to “Yuh good?” — you’ll hear Bilal trying out some of the most common Trini phrases. His accent? Let’s just say… we’re working on it 😂

We arrived at Zona Rosa, a lively and charming outdoor shopping and dining area that always lifts our spirits. The vibes were immaculate — live entertainment, street performers, and music created the perfect background for us to just relax and enjoy the day. Baby Ayaan was wide-eyed the whole time, taking in the sights, sounds, and all the attention from people walking by (this baby already has fans!). 😍👶🏽

We enjoyed a delicious Italian lunch al fresco, surrounded by beautiful weather and good energy. From creamy pasta to fresh-baked bread and refreshing drinks, it was the kind of meal you want to savor slowly while catching up and soaking in the moment. Dining outdoors with Ayaan was such a sweet experience — he even tried to “join the conversation” with his baby coos!

After a bit of window shopping and soaking in more of the local entertainment, we made our way back home. But the fun didn’t stop there. On the drive back, I gave Bilal a quick crash course in Trini 101 — teaching him some classic phrases and expressions that every Trinidadian knows. Hearing him try to repeat them had me CRACKING UP. 😂 We definitely need to make this a regular segment!

This vlog is all about laughter, love, and leaning into the little joys that make life so beautiful. Whether it’s trying new things, spending time outdoors, or just being silly with the ones you love — this day reminded us how important it is to slow down and soak in those precious moments. 💫
