Описание: The universe is expanding at seventy kilometers per second for every megaparsec of distance. That means two galaxies separated by three point three million light years are racing apart at seventy kilometers per second. Double the distance and the speed doubles too. Push far enough out and galaxies recede faster than light itself. This discovery came from Edwin Hubble in nineteen twenty nine, measuring the redshift of forty six galaxies with a telescope on Mount Wilson. His observations shattered the belief in a static eternal cosmos. Einstein called his own cosmological constant his biggest blunder. But Hubble's discovery created a paradox that haunts physics to this day. If the universe is expanding, it must be expanding into something. Yet nothing exists beyond the universe by definition. The universe contains all space, all time, all matter, all energy. There is no outside. There is no beyond. The question itself seems to break logic. Scientists have wrestled with this contradiction for nearly a century, and the answer reveals something far stranger than empty space waiting to be filled.
