As I create the stone tool, I walk you through the process of making an Oldowan stone chopping tool based on examples from Africa made over 2 million years ago by our hominin ancestors such as Homo habilis. I also share my thoughts on the mental and physical capacities that contribute to the process of making this tool and some of the implications that this innovation had for human evolution.
