During the late 1800s, the Sunny Corner mine, located 200km west of Sydney, ranked among the foremost silver producers in New South Wales. Today the abandoned site contains dangerously high toxicity levels in its water, raising the question for governments and industry - what do you do with a mine once you’re done with it?
