Staying Overnight in a Remote Indonesian Village - Wae Rebo - Flores Island
Hi Guys! Currently travelling around Indonesia and let me just tell you how incredible this village in the mountains was. Literally felt like a dream living there and experiencing the culture there. Interestingly as well the people in Wae Rebo have a completely different dialect than the Indonesian language itself. The village as well was only truly connected to the rest of the world around the 1980s and have lived pretty much in isolation from the rest of the world before that time. It is now a growing tourist destination however the track leading to the village is still uneven with many streets still littered with potholes and the only way to get there is via a roughly 3hr hike.
