Описание: In this 3 part series, we will explore the method we personally utilize for our FIVE successful au pair experiences to date. I am calling this the Rachel Method, because I felt it needs a name but am not that creative. We have had a only wonderful experiences and zero rematches to date.

This video we discuss being very honest and critical towards yourself first, in terms of your views on an ideal roommate and employee (aka your au pair), then setting filters accordingly. Once we decide on those traits that will work best for our family, we make an excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet helps to act as checks and balances to distinguish between candidates and ensure the au pairs we interview with hold true to what we determined is important to us. It is all too easy to get swept in finding a candidate that looks amazing, but checks very few of our boxes. In this video, I discuss things to consider the following preferences/characteristics: The Au Pair's Preferences, Au Pair's Dietary Restrictions/Medical Issues, Matching the Family and Au Pair Personalities (DISC Test), Non-filter Characteristics (family dynamic, interest, & hobbies), and finally, Our Personal Preferences.
