Welcome to our BPMN in Action series. Here, we will show why Business Process Model and Notation is the global standard for business process modeling and how it works in different industries. We will also review best practices, situation patterns, tips and tricks, and more so be sure to stay tuned.

In this tutorial video, Developer Advocate Nele Uhlemann will show the potential for process automation and orchestration within the healthcare sector as well as share her insight on how systems can support human workflow. She will do this by modeling the process of “outpatient visiting a healthcare provider” in the healthcare industry, including different stakeholders within the healthcare organization (front desk, medical staff, finance) and external stakeholders (patient and insurance).

Nele will review different process model scopes and also explain the relationship between technical processes and human workflow orchestration using a collaboration diagram built by modeling operational processes.
