I visited in early April and it will certainly be warmer and livelier on the waterfront come summer season. I lived in Halifax for ten years and was here on a family trip, and it was so lovely to visit all the classic spots, like the wave, Barrington Street, Parade Square, the Clocktower, Spring Garden Road and Public Gardens. I loved walking the hills and taking in all the favorite spots. I even caught a beautiful moment of two girls climbing up The Wave (a time honored tradition, even though it says clearly “Do Not Climb”. Be sure to climb The Wave if you can!) and stop in to get a famous Halifax style donair. King of Donairs is the most famous, but Randy’s on Agricola is the best. While you’re there, enjoy the pretty, colorful houses of Halifax’s north end.
