This week, we're gonna revisit some of Barry Harris' genius harmonic concepts for playing and improvising beautiful chords. Of course, I'm talking about the 6-Diminished concept. We'll go over a simple block chord approach like we did in my first video on the concept before moving on to more advanced methods for improvising chordal movements. I'll show you a little bit of how I've been practicing Thomas Echols' (Labyrinth of Limitations) brilliant adaptation of Barry's concepts to guitar by utilizing his "shell chord" concept as well as a bit of the incredible "elevator system."
