Anthinad–Melukavu Road is an important rural roadway in the Kottayam district of Kerala, India, connecting the villages of Anthinad and Melukavu. This road branches off from the Erattupetta–Thodupuzha Road and travels eastward through hilly terrain before joining the Pala–Thodupuzha Road at Kollappally. It serves as a key local connector between various interior villages and towns in eastern Kottayam.
The route plays a significant role in facilitating movement across agricultural areas, religious institutions, and small marketplaces. The road passes through densely settled and agriculturally active areas, supporting daily transport of people, farm produce, and local commerce. Though classified as a village road, it is frequently used by both light and heavy vehicles due to its strategic positioning.
Unlike major state highways, Anthinad–Melukavu Road is managed under the local Public Works Department (PWD) and is not part of State Highway 8 (SH 8) — which is the Punalur–Muvattupuzha Highway. However, this road indirectly connects travelers from the High Range areas (like Melukavu, Kanjirappally, and Vagamon) to major highways through junctions such as Kollappally and Erattupetta.
