From 25/08/2023, the EU's Digital Services Act (or DSA) will be law. Unfortunately, Europe's leaders seem to be gung-ho against the right to freedom of speech - Marcon actually suggested the idea of shutting down all social media so protestors couldn't organize against his rule, and instead of condemning this attack on Europe's freedom of opinion and freedom to organize, European commissioner Thierry Breton said: "Okay, the DSA will allow this kind of banana-republic dictator-style censorship" (in so many words 🤷♂️).
To make things worse: Next year's Olympics in Paris have already been announced as the most AI-surveilled ever, just like in China ... So the question is: How Chinese is Europe really?
