The Making of the Phil X Franken G, Part two

Описание: The shock of EVH passing away October 6, 2020 was devastating to every fan in the Van Halen community. Phil X, lead guitar player for Bon Jovi and his own band The Drills wanted to pay tribute to "The King" in his own way- something more than just walking into any guitar shop and grabbing a Frankenstrat replica off the rack. Phil conceived the idea of combining a Gibson SG (Phil's guitar of choice) with Eddie Van Halen's legendary red, black and white Frankenstein. Since he is endorsed by Gibson, the custom shop supplied the blank SG that would become this one-off monster. Phil, my good friend Scott Bawden (Fugly hot rod guitar shop) and myself put our heads together working out every last detail before any physical work was done. In this video (Part two) the three of us sit back and remember our own unique experiences in creating this beast from its beginning as a plank of wood, the challenging paint job and then ultimately ending up on stage in the talented hands of Phil X.
