In a passionate keynote address during the official launch of Kolmarek Primary Health Care Centre in Kolmarek Boma, Jalle Payam, Gen. Kuol Manyang Juuk praised the Abuodit Community for their self-reliant achievement, stating:
“We fought for liberation, but the next war is development — and that is a shared responsibility.”
He emphasised that true development starts with us, not with outsiders. He called on citizens to embrace farming, build their Bomas, and reduce over-reliance on aid and ceremonial expenses.
💬 “Why should we remain poor when we have land, water, and sunlight?”
He closed by calling for peace and self-sufficiency, and donated medicine and 10 bedsheets to the centre.
