Welcome to day 8 in the series of transforming my garden. In this series I take an abandoned garden and start all over from scratch. In this video I start to remove the grass from piles of soil and then rake and level it out. I also plant some hollyhocks, 'Love Lies Bleeding' Amaranthus, seed dahlias, and zinnias.
My hands were injured from the previous day of gardening where I removed the grass. I know I should have just rested a few days instead of working through the pain. I ended up having to do just that after 30 minutes of work. Sometimes you just need to listen to your body.
