OVULATION SYMPTOMS = TENDER, SWOLLEN BREASTS
Your breasts contain a lot of estrogen receptors and just prior to ovulation when oestrogen is at its peak level some women can be more sensitive to the effects of estrogen and experience pain and or swollen breasts.
This should be relieved after you ovulate as progesterone is now being produced in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle.
If you experience breast tenderness in the days leading up to your period, this is caused by an insufficient amount of progesterone in the luteal phase.
