Описание: Did you know? - In 2019, 17-year-old Wolf Cukier was interning at NASA. On his third day, he discovered TOI 1338 b, a planet orbiting two stars in a system 1,300 light-years away.

It’s called a circumbinary planet, and it's about 6.9 times the size of Earth.
It doesn’t have a solid surface, but what makes it stand out is its orbit, gliding between two suns like something out of a sci-fi movie.

The stars eclipse each other, causing dips in brightness. Wolf noticed something strange in the data, and that’s how he found it.

TOI 1338 b was the first planet of its kind discovered with TESS, and one of the most visually striking exoplanets we've seen in artist renderings.
