Last summer, I went to Mt. Jingmai located in Yunnan Province, China. The mountain becomes famous for its ancient tea trees discovered by Blangs. I was truly impressed with the plant diversity and local culture there.
Due to my passion for music and willing to try new styles, I used PlantWave to create a unique music of Mt. Jingmai. I recorded many plant melodies and spliced them together in order from the bottom to the top of the mountain. Also, I tried to combine the music with the rhythm of elephant-foot drum, which is a traditional percussion of Blangs.
I hope that through this video, more people will get to know Mt. Jingmai and the lives of local Blangs.
