Hey Dylan, is that your truck over there? Yeah. I didn't know you had handicap parking. Actually, it's called accessible parking and you don't judge a book by it's cover. Hey Dylan, you look fine. I didn’t know you needed accessibility parking. Umm. Actually just because I look fine doesn't mean I have a disability you shouldn't just judge someone based off of what they look like. So for passengers with disabilities riding in a minivan equipped with either side entrance or a ramp it is necessary and for safety to leave these aisle accessibility parkings open allowing plenty of room for a ramp to deploy so any person with a disability in a wheelchair can get in and out of parking spaces. An individual with a disability may park at any blue and white accessible parking area. They may also park at any green curb or blue curve. A green curve is normally for a time limit but for them they can park indefinitely. Another perk is that they can park it on the street metered parking which most people would pay for; they can park there for free and one another perk would be that if they went to a service station to get gas and that service station has two or more employees, they must help that individual. The minimum number of accessible parking depends on the total parking spots in the parking lot. So if there is 25 parking spaces in the lot there needs to at least be one accessible parking spot for an individual with a disability to park in and for hospitals there needs to at least be ten percent of the parking to be accessible parking along with rehabilitation facilities there needs to at least be 20 percent of the parking available to be accessible parking for individuals with disabilities as well. Hey Erick! Hey Liz! I didn’t know you had accessibility parking. Oh, I don’t, I just got it from a friend. You can’t be doing that. There's people that actually need this space. Plus, you're going to get fined and to make it even worse you're blocking the accessibility aisle. People with wheelchairs need the space to get out of the car.
