Jio Users Will Now Use BSNL Network! 😳 New ICR Plan Explained | Rural Connectivity

Описание: Reliance Jio has launched two new ICR (Intra-Circle Roaming) recharge plans — ₹196 and ₹396 — that allow Jio users in rural Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh to use the BSNL network for calls, data, and SMS.

These plans are designed for places where Jio signal is weak, and BSNL has stronger coverage. After recharge, the plan stays in “queue mode”, and auto-activates the moment your phone uses BSNL network for the first time (voice, SMS, or data).

Why this step?
To improve rural connectivity, where network gaps still exist.

A live test in Ummed village, Rajasthan, for the BSNL–Jio ICR setup was successful. Meanwhile, Airtel is expanding its 4G reach using government-funded DBN (Digital Bharat Nidhi) towers.

This marks the beginning of the next big phase in rural telecom coverage — where operators may collaborate to provide better signals in remote areas.
