Fire Station 3 is a Task Force Station. It houses Truck 3, Engine 3, Engine 203, Paramedic Ambulance 3, Rescue Ambulance 3, and it serves as home to Division 1 Headquarters. Truck 3 is a 1995 Simon LTI 100' Aerial Ladder Truck. Engine 3 & Engine 203 are 1984 Seagrave Triples.
Fire Station 3's First in District is a high value, high profile, and high incident area of the city. Located within the boundaries of Fire Station 3 are some of the West Coasts tallest buildings, as well as many state, federal and local government buildings, historical landmarks, large financial and corporate facilities, major tourist areas, large residential complexes, as well as major travel routes and thoroughfares.
Fire Station 3 is regarded as one of the finest fire stations in the city. It is known for its pride, teamwork, determination, and its concern for the safety of the community. There is a high degree of respect for its past, and that will ensure its future forever.
And here we go, guys. This is the 1995 Simon Duplex LTI TDA 100’ Aerial Ladder Truck for the Los Angeles City Fire Department housed in Fire Station 3. It is a 1:64th scale diecast model that was made by Code 3 Collectibles way back in 1999. It is a tiller truck.
The ladder is fully extendable every section comes out, it also raises and pivots. Now I'll go on and extend it, but I won't be able to show it off all the way extended raised up because of how tall and long that ladder is. Look at that 100’ foot aerial ladder. Now this truck responds to the high rise buildings in downtown Los Angeles. Now to keep showing it off, I'm going to put this ladder back in. Cause it'll be in the way.
If you want a firetruck in your collection, I totally suggest going with Code 3 Collectibles. They're the best in 1:64th scale and probably some of the very best firetrucks period.
Now we'll go underneath here. Not a whole lot of detail, not even super great tread patterns, kind of on the edges, but not on the bottom of the tires. You can see where they put an axle here and then there's a screw. And that screw is what holds the trailer onto the truck. So you really can't take it off. There's four mounts there and they're for the screws that hold this thing down to the base in the packaging. It has under the trailer Code 3 Collectibles, 1999, Made in China cast into the base and then limited edition tampo printed.
And guys that is the 1995 Simon Duplex LTI TDA 100’ Aerial Ladder Truck. Truck number 3 for the Los Angeles City Fire Department housed in Fire Station 3.
Today the Los Angeles Fire Department is one of the finest fire-fighting companies in the world. Using state of the art equipment and world class training to protect the citizens of Los Angeles in the event of fire or natural disaster. The citizens of LA have a department to be proud of.
