Hidden on Accrington Road in Blackburn is a small breakfast spot with a truly inspiring story. Today I visited Nashta, a family-run breakfast bar created by a husband and wife whose journey is as powerful as the food they serve.
After facing some serious health challenges — including major heart operations and a knee replacement — the wife was told by doctors that staying active would be key to her recovery. Instead of slowing down, she and her husband turned that advice into something incredible… opening their very own breakfast bar.
I stopped by to try their Desi breakfast, and it was absolutely fantastic — full of flavour, comforting, and exactly what you want to start the day. I also tried a fresh paratha, made hot and fresh, and it was just as impressive.
But what really makes this place special isn’t just the food — it’s the heart and determination behind it. Stories like this deserve support, and it was a pleasure to visit.
