Matt Parker trying out the Multi-Tone Pot in the neutral position on the Grez Mendocino Bass VI. This bass was custom built for Joe Branton of the Guitar Nerds podcast with a single Lollar Charlie Christian pickup in the neck.
The Multi-Tone pot has a center detent where everything is flat. If you role the pot back you get a fairly traditional treble cut and if you roll it forward you get a bass cut and being a pot, not a bass cut or treble cut switch, you have all the spots in between for setting exactly how much you want.
The Mendocino Bass VI is a 5.75lb semi-hollow 30" scale instrument string with LaBella 767-6F flats.
