Описание: ফেরিসার্ভিস চালু থাকলেও যানবাহন পারাপারে রয়েছে দুর্ভোগ। তাই সড়ক পথে রাজধানী ঢাকার সাথে চাঁদপুরের দূরত্ব কমাতে নির্মাণ হচ্ছে মতলব সেতু। ধনাগোদা নদীর উপর সেতু চালু হলে সড়কপথে তিন ঘণ্টার মধ্যে রাজধানীতে পৌঁছানো সম্ভব হবে। আট মাস আগে এই সেতু চালু হবার কথা থাকলেও এখনো মূল সেতুসহ সংযোগ সড়কের ত্রিশ ভাগ কাজ বাকি আছে। কর্তৃপক্ষ বলছে, আগামী কয়েক মাসের মধ্যে মতলব সেতু চালু করা সম্ভব হবে।
