উকিল মুন্সী একজন বাঙালি বাউল সাধক। তার পুরো নাম নাম সৈয়দ আব্দুল হক আকন্দ। শৈশবে তিনি ঘেটুগানে যোগ দেন। পরে গজল ও পরিণত বয়স থেকে মৃত্যুর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত বাউল সাধনায় লিপ্ত থাকেন। উকিল মুন্সী নেত্রকোণা জেলার খালিয়াজুড়ির নূরপুর বোয়ালীগ্রামে ১৮৮৫ সালের ১১ জুন একটি ধনাঢ্য মুসলিম পরিবারে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন এবং ১৯৭৮ সালের ১২ ডিসেম্বর তারিখে মোহনগঞ্জ উপজেলার তেঁতুলিয়া ইউনিয়নের জৈনপুরে বেতাই নদীর পারে চিরনিদ্রায় শায়িত হন । তার গুরু ছিলেন আরেক বাউল সাধক রশিদ উদ্দিন। উকিল মুন্সীকে তার মর্মস্পর্শী গানের জন্য মরমী বাউল নামেও আখ্যায়িত করা হয়। তার অসংখ্য গানের মধ্যে আষাঢ় মাইস্যা ভাসা পানি রে, সোনা বন্ধুয়া রে এতো দুঃখ দিলে তুই আমারে, সূয়া চাঁন পাখি, ভেবেছিলাম রঙে দিন যাবেরে সুজন নাইয়া ইত্যাদি বিশেষ ভাবে উল্লেখযোগ্য।

Ukil Munshi is a Bengali Baul saint. His full name is Syed Abdul Haque Akand. He joined the Ghetugan in his childhood. Later, he was involved in ghazal and Baul sadhana from his adult life until his death. He was born on 11 June 1885 and passed away on 12 December 1978. His guru was another Baul saint, Rashid Uddin. Ukil Munshi is also called the Mystic Baul for his soulful songs. Among his numerous songs, Ashadh Maisya Bhasa Pani Re, Sona Bandhuya Re Eto Dukh Dile Tui Amare, Suya Chan Pakhi, Bhebhi Rangye Din Jabere Sujan Naiya etc. are particularly noteworthy.
