Описание: This brief video is part 1 of 4. This video introduces the common attributes of all normal density curves. It also works two example problems using the Standard Normal Distribution. Along the way, the =NORMSDIST(·) function from Excel is introduced. The second example shows how to use the rule of complements to find areas to the right (as the Excel function defaults to finding areas to the left). The use of symmetry is demonstrated in both examples. Finally, the examples are used to examine how useful the count-by-thirds empirical rule is for normal distributions.
