India is witnessing massive protests over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
Both the pro and anti CAA protests have took to streets of Mumbai at the Azad Maidan. Former Maharastra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis joined the demonstration in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) at August Kranti Maidan in Mumbai.
Meanwhile,peaceful anti-CAA protests have been staged outside Jama Masjid and at Jor Bagh in Delhi. Police is on alert and security has been beefed up across the city. Police on Friday detained a group of protesters who tried to stage a demonstration outside the Uttar Pradesh Bhavan against alleged police atrocities in the state following the agitation over the CAA.
