Recently I came across an app called Handy that's almost like Uber but for a handyman. At first, I figured it was not a very viable way to make money and I figured there would be very few job listings but I was wrong there were more listings than I expected in my fairly small area. I was able to get around 2 jobs per week for the last 3 weeks and I have 2 more this week. I have had no bad experiences on the app and it's been an easy way to make an extra $50-$100 a week before expenses. In my area, the rates are around $20 an hour for standard things and then $35/ hour for electrical things and $50/ hour for plumbing related things. Overall I had a fairly good experience and would definitely recommend Handy to anyone looking to pickup a few extra jobs here and there on the weekends and after hours.
