Itanagar to Namsai Road Food Trip I Best Assamese Thali + India's longest Rail-Road Bogibeel Bridge

Описание: During our Arunachal Pradesh food tour, guided by Omanso Tayang from Our Guest Travels, we embarked on a road trip from Itanagar to Namsai, brimming with delightful culinary experiences, particularly as we traversed through Assam.

Our first stop was at Hotel Ranganadi in Pahumara, Barpeta, Assam, a roadside hotel serving masses. Here, we couldn't resist indulging in hot samosas, known locally as Shingara. These crispy triangular pastries stuffed with a spicy potato mixture were simply irresistible. Oman had ordered a rice thali which looked simple but was very hearty.

Continuing our journey, a refreshing pitstop at Kanchanjangha restaurant in Bogibeel Ghat, Dibrugarh, Assam. The place was quite pretty however, the refreshments we sampled were just average.

Cloud 9 - The Restro near Bokul Flyover, Bokpara - Bokul Bypass, Dibrugarh, Assam, was our ultimate destination, where Chef Partha Konwar mesmerized us with the preparation of Assamese specialties before serving one of the best Assamese plates we've ever tasted.

From witnessing the making of Kosu Xaak, boiled taro leaves cooked with a flavorful blend of spices, to indulging in Gahori Patot Diya, a tantalizing mixture of boiled pork wrapped in koupat leaf and roasted over fire, each dish at Cloud 9 was a culinary masterpiece. The spicy Masor Pitika, comforting Aalu Pitika and flavorful Bilahi Pitika further elevated our dining experience.

Additionally, the Boiled Vegetables, Dhekia Xaak, and Dali soup-like dish showcased the richness and diversity of Assamese cuisine, while the Tupula Bhat, steam-cooked rice wrapped in koupat leaf, added a unique touch to our gastronomic journey.

Overall, our road trip food experience was a culinary adventure filled with diverse flavors, enriching our journey through the heartland of Assam and leaving us with memories to savor long after the trip concluded.
