This video shows my simple three-step system for cleaning hard floors at home. It is quick, low-effort, and far faster than dragging out a hoover, bucket, and mop.
Step 1
I start with a Rubbermaid mechanical sweeper with rubber blades. It lifts dust, grit, and hair in seconds and needs no power.
Step 2
I then use a 40 cm Vileda Professional sweeper mop. I lightly dampen it with a spray so it grabs fine dirt and residue without soaking the floor.
Step 3
Any remaining grit is brushed off using a small paintbrush, then picked up again with the Rubbermaid sweeper. I also use an Unger scraper blade where needed for stuck-on marks.
This system has massively reduced the time it takes me to clean hard floors. No cables. No water buckets. No waiting for floors to dry.
It will not replace a deep clean, but for everyday maintenance it is hard to beat.
