Ron Erickson is in the process of making a 1987 Volkswagen GTI shell into an AWD Rally Car. He is transplanting the drive train from a Canadian Passat G60 Syncro into the GTI.
Ron is not sending it out for any part of the build process. Engine, Transmission, Suspension, Roll Cage, Electronics, Wiring, Body Work, Paint; Ron is doing it all himself, with the help from a few friends now and then.
It has been 2 years since he has started this journey, and we are going to follow along for the rest of it.
