Pedro González López, better known as Pedri, was born in November 2002 in
Tegueste, Spain.
Pedri started his career at the little Juventud Laguna at just 15 years old.
After being released by CD Tenerife, because of his being too skinny and short he
transferred to the youth ranks of Las Palmas in 2018. The following year, Pedri
signed his first professional contract at the age of 16 and has since been integrated into the team
main by coach Pepe Mel.
His professional debut took place in August 2019, in a 1-0 loss to
Huesca, match valid for the first round of La Liga 2, second division of the championship
Spanish. The following month, Pedri scored his first goal, against Sporting Gijon for the sixth
league round, becoming the youngest player to score for Las Palmas in history.
