Wu style taiji performed by Li Fanguang (Wu style 5th generation) great-grandson of Li Yiyu, who was the nephew and successor of Wu Yuxiang creator of the Wu style.
The main lineage of Wu style Taiji practiced around the world comes from the Hao family. Li Yiyu taught Hao Weizhen who in turn taught Sun Lutang (developer of Sun style Taiji) and his own son and nephew. The style was passed down in the Hao family for several generation being popularized by masters such as Hao Shaoru. Many books in the west list Hao Weizhen as Li Yiyu's successor, going so far as to say that the style was not preserved by his own family.
However the style was passed on to Li Yiyu's sons and their children who preserved many forms and teachings never taught outside the main family line. The family line is not well known, unlike other lines of Wu style they did not teach outside of the family until after the cultural revolution. Before his death in 1991-92? Li Fanguang decided to start opening the family teachings and published several works on forms preserved within the family line, as well as publishing some of the writings of Wu Yuxiang and Li Yiyu on secret teachings that were not included in the publicly transmitted versions of the Taiji classics.
