Removing 100 YEARS of GRIME in Real Time and Tracing the Origin!

Описание: A longer video on removing years of grime. Here are some things I have found out about the plane iron and the makers.
*The plane iron was made by the Lewis company on Bailey Lane in Sheffield. I have walked by this street many times on the way to the university over the years but did not realise what existed. The company was an edge tool manufacturer.
*There was at least two Lewis Men that worked for the company, who I believe to either father and son or brothers. They were Walter Lewis and Charles Lewis. They lived on neighbouring streets and if they walked to work, it would have taken them about 40 minutes. Both houses are still there.
*They were in business for at least 14 years, from 1911 to 1925 but likely more. 1911 was referenced in Jane Rees book in the video and 1925 is from an envelope addressed to them that I just bought from eBay.
No maker marks on the plane itself, only the blade.

A quick overview of method.
Grime removal
Methylated Spirits and Steel wool grade 2
Replenishment
Raw Linseed oil/Genuine Turpentine (Gum) and Steel wool grade 1
Iron
Paraffin oil (Kerosene) and steel wool grade 2, plus 240/600 Wet and dry grit paper.
