SWFL Eagles ~ INCREDIBLE Moment F23 Feeding Bites Of Fish To M15! She Remembered! Cute E24! 12.14.24

Описание: This is one of those special moments that I think will go down as a turning point in our SWFL history! M15 was brooding E24 after returning to the nest & F23 went to her fish that had been sitting on the rails for over 7 hours! She took some bites but then offered them to M15! She remembered last season when M15 fed her bites of food to feed them to E23 - learning from M15's great parenting skills he shared with Harriet! ♥ What a touching moment to see F23 making so many new beautiful moments this season & adding her own touches!

M15 did not take any of the multiple bites she offered - probably he was used to being the provider and offering the food rather than being on the receiving end. And M15 did not get up to feed E24 tonight which is perfectly normal since E24 had just consumed the contents of the yolk sac in the eggshell & was not hungry yet. Who will be the first to feed E24 tomorrow morning? Put your guesses in the comments section!

We have some cute closeups of E24 sleeping and notice that egg#2 has half of E24's shell on top of it. Egg2 has not pipped or cracked yet. M15 wanted his time brooding their hatchling and made F23 wait until dark before he finally got up and flew off for the night heading west. F23 is on the nest brooding and sleeping - it has been a long and exciting day! Thank you for watching!

The eggs typically hatch between 34-39 days of incubation and today Dec 14th, egg #1 is 36 days & egg #2 is 33 days. Egg#2 is probably working on the internal pip right now which occurs 2-3 days before hatching. During this time, the adults can feel & see the movement of the chick working inside the egg and hear little chirps. Egg #1 has pierced the blunt end of the egg with its egg tooth. Hatching times average 24-48 hours but can take as long as 72 hours. Here at the SWFL nest, E16 took the longest time to hatch - 59 hours! Egg-citing days ahead! 🎉 Thank you for watching!
