Have you watched 'The Revenant' starring Kim Tae-ri? In episode 8 of 'The Revenant', there's a discussion about embracing darkness. A village lady mentions that if one keeps staring too deep into the darkness, one could get devoured by that darkness. I asked Jamie about this after watching the drama.
He mentioned that he found facing his own darkness more helpful than avoiding it. He said that the time he spent painting, giving himself enough time and space, had more meaning to him.
