TOKYO CITY KEIBA RACETRACK, Tokyo, Japan - It's like an amusement park!

Описание: Tokyo City Keiba (TCK, Oi Racetrack) is organized and operated by a special local government of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. Keiba means horse racing in English. Tokyo City Keiba is the closest racetrack to central Tokyo with a right-handed dirt track measuring 1,600 meters (1 mile) per lap, 386 meters straight and 25 meters wide. TCK also has a friendly exchange agreement with Santa Anita Park Racetrack in the United States. Night races, known as "twinkle races," are held from late March through November. The glittering illumination at night has become a popular spot for many people, not only horse racing fans.
I went to “Diamond Turn,” a restaurant at Tokyo City Keiba where tables are reserved for watching horse races, which I had always wanted to visit but had never done. It is a buffet restaurant where you can enjoy your meal while watching the illumination, events, and races. You can see the straight course through the glass windows with an excellent view, and there are also monitors set up exclusively for watching the races, making it possible to enjoy a very heated race.
Since it was a weekday and there were no graded races, I was able to relax and watch the horse races. As time went on, more and more businessmen came to the venue on their way home from work.
The TCK fanfare team "Tokyo Twinkle Fanfare (TTF)" has become a specialty of TCK. At Japan Racing Association (JRA), the Self-Defense Forces Band plays the fanfare for G1 races, but the performance by TTF is very laid-back... This is what I like about local horse racing.
Although I did not buy a betting ticket, Tokyo City Keiba is a fantastic place, just like an amusement park, and I had a dreamy evening.
