Foreign film review of The Winter War (1989) from director Pekka Parikka, a Finnish film about the Winter War during WWII. This was a battle fought between Finland and the Soviet Union in November of 1939 at the beginning of WWII. This battle was known for its notoriously awful weather and harsh conditions.
The Winter War (1989) follows the story of two brothers joining the fight for Finland against the Soviet invasion. We watch their journey over the course of this epic film as they struggle to survive.
