Taking a cue form sci-fi and Alclad themselves, I've made a paint chart of all their metals, grouped by type and spaced evenly around an old, gridded, AMT 1701 Saucer. This was a very fast paint-up from start to finish. I had immediate need, so rushed and got smudges in the gloss black layer which transferred to the metals. There were also small bits of grit in the air which messed with me. And I would re-order the colors a little based on seeing them in person.
I will definitely redo this when I find a cheap gridded saucer again!
