The Murphy Door Company Talks Their New Products at KBIS 2022

Описание: Ellen caught up with The Murphy Door Company at KBIS 2022 to chat about their line of dual-purpose doors with hidden storage, as well as their line of pull-out Murphy beds.


Ellen: I'm going to assume that many of you have heard the term 'murphy bed'. It's a
hidden bed, and we will look at some of those. But what this company is called Murphy
Door Company. They're hidden doors...and they're really cool. The idea is is that 
you have a door frame and now you can put a bookshelf on it and when you open it up
you have a great way to store stuff.

Zachary: So essentially what you're dealing with is... it's a pre-hung door that comes
fully assembled with the jam and you would hang the jam just like you hang a regular
door so it's super friendly DIY.

Ellen: So all sorts of different ways you take a door and now make it more than  just
a door. You can put a gun safe behind there I would guess. You can do whatever you want to do.

Zachary: One of our tag lines "what's behind your Murphy Door?" So...and the great thing
about our company is hidden door solutions so we're actually offering a solution to space
so we're adding 20 cubic feet of extra functional space to a doorway which is exceptional
nowadays with people looking for less is more and...

Ellen: And in addition to that this trade show you are bringing out murphy beds for the 
company so what makes them different?

Zachary: It's our new product line of murphy beds, so let me show you this... just like
the doors they're customizable. You can do different wood species, stains, and different
sizes. This is our queen.

Ellen: So this is small space solutions. You can have a queen size 
bed in a room. You also can have a twin size. You do customize it for anyone? So how customized 
can someone get with your product?

Zachary: Completely. So we even have king size available in the beds as well... and these,
the side cabinets... fully functional. You can add... add these to it as well. So this 
is a door... so you can have a shoe rack here...


Ellen: And then this could walk into your bathroom or something, is that correct?

Zachary: Yes, and we we have a moisture resistant MDF so if you do want to do something in a
bathroom or where you have some extra moisture we can do that as well.

Ellen: So isn't that cool? I just think this is a fun way to add a customized look to your
home, to find small space solutions and change them. They've got all sorts of different ways
that you can customize your home just in a doorway.
