Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood spoke of the “significant escalation and threat” hanging over Europe as the “war of words and actions” escalate.
Mr Greenwood reported the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak said the Nord Stream One gas pipeline to Germany may be turned off, as a retaliation to international sanctions.
The Nord Stream Two pipeline which has not been commissioned has already been stopped by Russia.
Mr Greenwood described the Nord Stream One pipeline link to Europe as the “absolute key to energy and energy prices in Europe”.
