SHALLOW WATER BLACKOUT CAUGHT ON CAMERA (Be Sure To Read Video Description BEFORE Watching)

Описание: I (Woody) made an error in this video. You DO NOT want to hyperventilate to get rid of CO2. That in fact can increase the chances of shallow water blackout. The “breathe up” correctly before free diving can decrease the heart rate by about 15-25 percent and promotes a number of other physiological changes that optimize oxygen conservation in the body.
If someone blacks out from free diving you want to:
Secure the partner.
Drop their weights so they become buoyant.
Get their head above water.
Take their mask off.
Blow in their face which triggers the breathing reflex and let’s the body know they are above water.
Call their name.
Always go to ER afterwards to get checked by a doctor to make sure you don’t get secondary issues such as secondary drowning.
Always dive with a buddy.
Again, NEVER hyperventilate as that in fact increases your chance of shallow water blackout.
We felt it was important to state these things correctly above.
