With the cyclone swirling up north cool wind was brought up into the Eastern Goldfields for a few days of relief from the prolonged heatwave in the region.
The first night went horribly after I heard a creepy noise i was unfamiliar with.
I stood on top the car for 20 minutes being very quiet and still to see if i could hear dogs or cattle moving or howling...Nothing. Complete silence.
My instincts were going crazy and I fought them as nothing ever happens out here..as soon as i got back on ground I spotted two big orange/reddish eyes staring at me from about 20 meters away.
Whatever it was it stood about the height of a large dog.
Stay safe out there and be aware of your surroundings at ALL TIMES.
I ended up finding a few small Gold Nuggets which kept me happy ,
but new hunting grounds are not far away.
