Crafting slowly moving biomechanical noise music with both analog and digital synths all joined together in cross modulation.
rough explanation of what's going on here:
Arturia Minifreak controls the Korg which cross modulates the Moog which modulates the softpop2 which cross modulates back into the Moog. Random voltage from the arturia beat step is used to modulate the softpop2 and the sonicware texture lab also receives notes from the Arturia mini freak.
the Moog is being used as the primary clock source which is synced into the softpop2 and the Arturia Minifreak (and then thru to the texture lab) - this helps to keep LFOs and delays in sync.
FX:
the softpop2 gets some help from the Fat Sugar pedal.
The Mixer
has master compression built in, and I'm using built in FX (just plate or room reverb usually)
it also has several FX send & returns:
1 to the Troika pedal new by jack white & JHS
2 to the EHX platform (compressor)
3 to a real spring reverb mounted behind the mixer (to get vibration from the speakers, but also It gets feedback from itself and gain from the mixer.
