Petersen is a former Republican senate candidate in Missouri and a former candidate for the Libertarian Party's 2016 nomination for President of the United States, taking second place in a crowded primary behind Governor Gary Johnson.

In this interview we talked about running as a Republican vs. as a Libertarian. Somehow we also talked a lot about people being able to own nukes. How did that come up? No idea really, but it made for some interesting conversation.

We were honored to make this interview happen, as Austin was our number one choice for the LP nomination in 2016.
