Instead, this is a critical look at how even Nintendo’s most polished series is shaped by design compromises, technical limitations, and creative risks.

From the NES era to modern Switch titles, Mario has constantly evolved. Each generation introduced new mechanics, new ideas, and new ways to play, but no game is truly perfect. Some flaws come from outdated hardware. Others come from bold experimentation that did not fully land. And a few come from playing things a little too safe. In this video, I break down how those issues affect the overall experience, while also explaining why the games are still great despite them.
